Scouting Ireland Conference 2009 for Group Leaders & Commissioners

17th – 18th October 2009 Green Isle Hotel, Dublin

This year’s Conference will take place at the Green Isle Hotel in Dublin and is aimed at Group Leaders and Commissioners throughout Scouting Ireland. The Conference is an opportunity for all managers in Scouting Ireland to interact, network and be part of an exchange of ideas and issues with other Group Leaders and Commissioners.

The Conference Content will include:

Working with Adult Volunteers         Development Planning

Raising Funds / Grant Aid                  Adult Recruitment

Management Training                         Whole Health Awareness

Conflict Resolution                             Briefing on Programme Role-Out

The International Commissioner is pleased to announce that, following a competitive interview process, the National Management Committee have approved the appointment of John F Lawlor as the Scouting Ireland Contingent Leader for the 22nd World Scout Jamboree. He will now work with the International Commissioner to appoint a Contingent Team. The 22nd World Scout Jamboree will be held near Kristianstad in Sweden between 27th July and 7th August, 2011. Irish Scouts have taken part in every WSJ and will be in Sweden too!
